I have too many blogs scattered about the web and although at least one evolved turned to a topical site, none of them function as "my blog." I figure since most of the people that might care to read anything like a michaelonbass blog entry are Rowdies, I might as well get rid of this "0 blog entries" message that has been staring me in the face.
I'm still working hard to tie up loose ends with a new software release for my day job. It is one of those projects you only see a couple times during a career, so the fact it is dragging on a couple months longer than I figured doesn't surprise me. Several weeks off await me when it is complete and I am trying to get across the finish line...
More importantly, the System Saved ministry is gaining momentum. Since the first of the year, we've booked quite a few weekends for this year's prison tour. We were in Jacksboro and Gatesville last weekend and had a wonderful time. Don't get me wrong, I always was honored to bring music to you all, but to help lead praise and worship to people in such a seeming hopeless state is beyond description. One man in the Hughes unit Sunday came to chapel service for the first time in 16 years and found the Lord. We also did a service for the safekeeping population there. As it turns out, not too many ministries do services for them, so it was a special blessing for us to be able to do that.
I could go on for hours about the blessings coming our way! Tomorrow Kenny and I are in the studio sorting out material for a new album and dates keep coming in for more events. We're having to choose in some cases and have determined prison visits must take precedence over showcases. But we'll find ways to play on the outside!
I had better get back to work...that vacation awaits but only after I finish coding some more stuff!

It is wonderful that you still find time for us here. Michael...we sure will always have time for you, and I personally will never forget how we met and have spent months on the Thread ...
